Jennifer Ryan was born in Mobile, Alabama, the youngest of three children born to Joe and Mary Dumas, a Firefighter and a homemaker. She received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication & Public Relations from Auburn University. After graduating from college she worked in sales in Montgomery, Alabama until relocating to Orlando, Florida where she worked as a Marketing Manager for a non-profit.
In 1992 after Hurricane Andrew slammed into South Florida, Jennifer became a disaster fundraising volunteer for the American Red Cross. Jennifer lived in Orlando for over eight years. She moved back to the Auburn area at the end of 1999 to marry Opelika native Gerald Ryan. Since January of 2000, Jennifer has been the CEO of the Lee County Chapter of the American Red Cross in Opelika/Auburn, Alabama. Jennifer and Gerald have one son, Austin, and a rather fat and sassy Golden Retriever, Tiger.
